Changing Home
When I travel from point A to point B, it really takes a toll on me.
Sleep⌗
My sleep gets messed up because:
A. I prepare my stuff last minute, which makes me go to bed later B. I book plane tickets or have other work to do, which makes me have to wake up earlier
This makes me depressed for at least a day.
Work⌗
Since I travel, I cannot work. So, stuff accumulates and I am late on work at $DAYJOB and $NIGHTJOB.
Feeling at home⌗
It takes me a few days before feeling like I’m at home. I need to explore a bit, speak with a few locales, figure out the wi-fi…
This doesn’t happen if I’m changing place every week.
New resolutions.⌗
If I stay in a place, that’s at least for 10 days.
3 days of semi-depression 3 days of regular enjoyment 3 days of very cool enjoyment 1 day of traveling.
… that’s not a good ratio either.
Maybe I should say “one month”. Be really strict about it.
It would leave the time for the natural “I’m in a new place!” process to take place.
