Ship One Thing

These days, I don’t have a lot of bandwidth. Issue is that I happen to ignore either one project or another. Each day, I should ship important stuff to each of these projects. More bandwidth = bigger items. Not more bandwidth = more items. What we need is quality over quantity. One item per day is good enough. Better not loose my focus. So each day: One goal for project A One goal for project B Otherwise, days are all mixed up in my memory.

Florence

I have been to Florence; and saw great cathedrals. I am impressed by how beautiful they are. It makes me want to do something big myself. But I’m also reading Kundera. Missions are stupid, Tereza. I have no mission. No one has. And it’s a terrific relief to realize you’re free, free of all missions — Tomas Yes, that’s true. In the end, we’re just blobs of flesh. Missions are bullshit.

Tools Growing Old

I’ve been noticing lately, that I’m feeling like my tools have grown older. Node doesn’t feel so “new”. Now, I start all my projects with Bun. It feels young, but reliable and full of promise. Node feels like a maintenance-mode project. Puppeteer is not so shiny anymore, either. Playwright is the alternative, but something feels wrong… I know inside my bones, that in the end, it’ll get replaced by a new shiny framework.
